Shopping in Guissona

At the beginning of the XX century Guissona became one of the first towns in Catalonia to create an area only for pedestrians which made the historical part of the town a trade and walking place. For years traders organize different activities to promote the shopping, the cafés and restaurants. You can find any kind of services.

Mercat de la Ganga (The Bargain Market)

This is a market organised by the Traders Association from Guissona which offers the visitors many discounts in seasonal products. The shops show their goods in the street.

Carnival and Shops

At Carnival time the dealers from Guissona participate decorating their window shops and organising some different activities.

The White Night in Guissona

The last week of June the White Night is celebrated on a Thursday or Friday. It is a day when dealers open their shops until late at night. Taking advantage of this mild evening there are also a lot of musical activities and gastronomical “tapes” (small dishes of different kind of food) called Mos-Toc organised together with the restaurants in town.

Christmas

At Christmas time shops decorate their window shops and Christmas lights shine brightly.
